Born in Glasgow and now based in London, Salvatore Navarrete began as a DJ and saw a quick rise to UK grunge-pop fame while producing for close-collaborator Shygirl, whose debut tracks received a co-sign from Rihanna with multiple Fenty Beauty syncs across the brand’s commercials and fashion shows.
Bodega’s solo career saw his debut album Salvador at the peak of 2020’s chaos, and a follow-up project in November of 2021. Both projects were delivered under his label NUXXE, co-founded also by Shygirl, and seeing production credits for artists including Oklou and Dorian Electra. Since NUXXE’s inception, the label has made waves scoring important cultural moments like Nike’s 2018 Jumpan advertisement, Rihanna’s Puma x Fenty Show at New York Fashion Week + more.
Sega Bodega’s discography has seen consistent playlisting support from Spotify with placements on Ethereal, omw, Best Indie Songs of 2021, Industrial Bass + more.
