About
DLG. lives in different worlds. The musician blends alternative R&B with indie pop to create something entirely new. Gentle falsetto, plucky electric guitars, shimmering synths, and sidechained kicks often pepper his tracks with flavor and color. Songs like “Scatterbrain” offer listeners grooves with a vocal performance reminiscent of Mac Miller, while newer releases like “CLOSE ONE!” perfectly soundtrack a late night drive through the city.
Shortening his stage name to DLG., David Antonio de la Garza writes, records, and produces all his tracks. The 25 year-old Austin act is making his way in the indie scene, officially moving to Los Angeles after graduating from Cal Poly. Since then, Dave has been working closely and releasing with artists like Daniel Allan, bloody white, and Peter Saputo.
With a new year, DLG. ushers in a new plan for sharing his music with his fans. In March, he introduced his “'2 on 2' project, where [he] drop[s] 2 songs on the second of the month. I want to experiment with dropping music consistently on the same date of each month […] much in the same way you know your favorite TV show airs on the same day each week.” Currently, DLG. has holed himself up in Big Bear to ensure he stays on schedule for his upcoming EP. His most recent double drop came last week with tracks “CALL ME SELFISH” and “BACKROADS,” both featuring Cristian Jay.
His most streamed song “Inside of My Eyelids” was a sync in Season 4 of the Netflix Original Series “You.” Dave has seen support on playlists like late night vibes & more. Learn more about DLG. below.
