Born in the small town of Shelburne, Ontario, rising singer-songwriter Ruby Waters shares the start of her new era with her first release since November 2022. The sensual, confident track “Flash Flood” is a crunchy, head-banging anthem uplifted by Waters’ belted crescendos and punk-leaning performance.

The Juno-nominated writer’s unabashed songwriting is nothing new to her. Her lyricism is always raw, upfront, and painfully honest. This authentic vulnerability is what first caught the attention of fans across the world and is what keeps them coming back for more. Her cathartic – almost indulgent – style of writing, coupled with her hypnotic, raspy voice makes this small-town artist one of a kind, and largely contributed to the success of her sophomore EP “Heather.” Having released music for the past five years, Waters has impressively remained independent, signing with APA and One Fiinix Live for representation along the way.
