Atlanta-based musician, producer & visual artist Babebee lives and thrives in the electronic, indie pop world. Taking inspiration from artists like Björk, Frank Ocean & FKA twigs, Babebee is able to combine soft and ethereal singer-songwriter vibes with experimental dance akin to PinkPantheress.

During the pandemic, Babebee found a supportive, creative community on Discord and was encouraged to take their music to the next level. Using the connectivity of the Internet to their advantage, Babebee began their own Discord server called The Honeypot and has been producing and collaborating with other artists ever since. Their most recent album “mind over matter” sees features like jodah. & Meltycanon, who lend their engineering and vocal skills, respectively, to add more dynamics to the already rich, spacey production.

Along with their manager Sullivan Brock, Babebee also takes great care in their visual representation. The duo both have backgrounds in photography and design. They have co-directed music videos together and have shot and edited photoshoots to ensure Babebee’s branding is on point. This, coupled with the lyrical themes of pain, heartbreak, and existentialism pervasive through their sound contributes to Babebee’s distinct authenticity as an artist.

Babebee’s mixture of soft, distorted vocals, textured synths, and frenzy of rhythmic drums sets them in a creative lane of their own, and they most definitely are worth sticking around for. Babebee has received editorial support from Pigeons & Planes and Grimy Goods and has seen support on playlists like Lorem, All New Indie & New Music Friday for their most recent single “sunset blvd” alone.
