About

The Los Angeles post-hardcore band Militarie Gun is ready to share their album with the world. Led by vocalist Ian Shelton of Regional Justice Center, the ragtag group expertly fuses punk energy with infectious melodies making for tracks that are both anthemic and accessible. Just yesterday, we saw the release of the second single off of their upcoming LP as well as an accompanying music video.

The fuzzy, distorted track “‘Very High’ centers around the desire to escape the embarrassment of day to day life as much as possible,” says Shelton. The visuals similarly showcase how someone can be going through something that no one else sees. Along with the recent fan favorite “Do It Faster,” this record will be one of twelve on the band’s first studio album “Life Under The Gun,” arriving June 23 via Loma Vista.

In the meantime, the post-punk group has been building their reputation in live. They’ve toured with White Reaper and Mamalarky this past March, played a number of SXSW showcases and have slots in multiple festivals this June and July across Europe.

The group has seen support on playlists like The New Alt, Noisy, the Breakdown & more. Learn more about Militarie Gun below.
