About
Nashville-based duo Kel Taylor and Emma Harvey formed (the band) Sawyer their sophomore year of college after both having break-ups on the same day. Taylor shares, “So we called each other and we were like, ‘What do we do? Let’s just start a band,’ so that was that.”
What soon transpired from their dorm rooms at Belmont University was their self-coined “indie-sparkle-pop” - a sonically addicting pop-menthol sound for the badass and the broken-hearted.
Since originally merging their solo projects in 2015, Sawyer has seen publicity support from LADY GUNN, amassed 40k+ TikTok followers, hit the road in a supporting slot for The Aces, + more.
Sawyer’s latest single “Mistake” has seen playlisting support from Spotify with placements on New Music Friday and soda.
