About
Horsegirl is the rising indie-rock band comprised of three teenagers from Chicago.
The group's inception began when they bonded over their love of artists like Sonic Youth and started attending concerts together. Not long after, they formed in 2019 when they started writing & eventually hanging out through the pandemic. They signed to Matador in 2021 & proceeded to play four packed shows at this year’s SXSW, ultimately leading to their critically acclaimed album Versions of Modern Performance which dropped last week.
Just two days later - Sunday, June 5th - the same day one of their members graduated high school, Horsegirl followed up their album with a homecoming show. Now they’re preparing for a European tour before hitting the road in North America.
The trio is currently #19 on our trending artists list with their profile views up +1700% in the last week.
