About

Punk is theatre, baby.

Daisy Grenade’s Dani Nigro and Keaton Whittaker originally met as understudies for a regional production of American Idiot that eventually halted due to COVID. A friendship fostered by chance after attending just one rehearsal together ultimately led the powerhouse bubble-grunge pop duo to a swift path to success, sparked by a cosign and mentorship with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.

With backgrounds in theatre, the Brooklyn-based duo brings a polished broadway stage presence to the mosh pit. Their sound is catered to a brat-rock cult fanbase with an emo charm, and intentionally blurs the lines of a pop-punk scene that’s been plagued by gender norms from the jump.

Their debut single “Baby Blackout” was a song gifted by Wentz that saw editorial support from Spotify’s Fierce Femmes playlist, spending 165 days on the list and peaking at #40. Their debut EP Sophomore Slump was co-produced by Wentz and Cobra Starship’s Alex Suarez.
