About
Magdalena Bay are Mica Tenenbaum & Matthew Lewin, an indie electro-pop duo from Miami, FL (now based in LA). They originally met in high school in 2011 & began releasing as Magdalena Bay in 2016.
The group spent the first year+ of the pandemic writing their debut album while releasing a steady drip of singles & dope visuals - nearly everything was conceptualized & executed by the pair via the green screen in Mica’s bedroom. This output helped them cultivate a strong TikTok audience & grew their Spotify listeners by ~600%.
Mercurial World (their debut album) is set for a fall release, with a 16-city tour kicking off the same day @ El Cid in LA. Chris Cantalini’s Luminelle Recordings will release the record with distribution from Fat Possum’s House Arrest.
