About

In the Mourning are a new LA-based pop-punk band, fronted by multihyphenate Amanda Tran (Seattle).

The project “marries [Amanda’s] introspective emo girl lyricism with the nostalgic sensibilities of early Avril Lavigne”, and has released 3 singles to date. Their June ‘21 debut ‘At What Cost’ was co-produced by Amanda with Hansel Romero, the frontman of Roc Nation’s nightlife (Baltimore), which was followed by a July remix of the track featuring nightlife.

Along with leading ITM, Amanda has been running creative production agency A-Tran Projects. Through A-Tran, Amanda has managed artists Travis Atreo (fmr. Warner Philipines) & Martin Novales, and run operations for Ally Maki’s Asian American Girl Club - among other things.

ITM’s latest release is a remix of their recent single ‘If he wanted to, he would!’, featuring Ergo, Bria. Their next single is slated to drop 4/1, currently on pre-save here.

Team

In the Mourning are managed by Paige Williams via Paige Backstage, and booked for the US by Jer Berkin @ Lost + Found.

They’ve released with MAD Collective & Logauhn Records, the latter which we understand to be a self-releasing label in the name of her Goldendoodle.

Live

The band play their since-rescheduled debut show May 20th @ The Smell in LA, with support from Hoity-Toity & Suzie True.
